Potato Creek State Park - 2022

We left home with trailer in tow, Monday May 9th for four days camping at Potato Creek State Park, just south of South Bend, IN.  We had beautiful sunny weather, but the temperatures were in the high 80's (88-89), with a heat index in the low 90's.  Needless to say the air conditioning was a big help, and the awning gave us great shade until late afternoon.

Surf and Turf on the Blackstone Griddle

Our close friend and daughters God Mother, Kathy enjoying the cool temps inside.  She brought a supply of South Bend Chocolate.

Back in the early days of my career, we lived in Michigan City and LaPorte, Indiana.  I worked for a manufacturer of roofing products and two (2) people at Midland Engineering taught me the roofing business.  It was neat to find this Studebaker Truck in the museum

There was a section on the All American Girls Professional Baseball League with numerous photos of the players.  There were bvanners and pictures of the movie League of our Own. Soth Bend had the Blue Socks.

This is the Oliver Mansion.  We missed the tour and will visit the next time we are in South Bend

This is the old Oliver Cold Plow Works building.  They were known for their plows and latyer would merge with a tractor company.

We had fun over the four days and look forward to our next trip to Michigan.
