Starve Hollow Recreation area

We decided to take another short weekend trip.  We chose Starve Hollow Recreation Area south of Brownstown, Indiana to celebrate our 40th anniversary.  You have to book well in advance to get a spot on the water.  The place was packed a little to much for our liking, but will be a place to take our grandchildren in the future.

We toured the nature center and spent time talking to the ranger.  A bald eagle was nesting south of the dam.  We spent time checking the tree tops and even drove down to the area as we departed.  No luck, maybe another time.

It was free fishing day and there were lots of fisherman out and some kayaks.

This trip marked day 15 and 16 for the year.  Hoping to camp around 35 days in 2015.  Not much of a trip report, but a good opportunity to get away and relax.
